You’ll go wild for Divini Rae, our Miss November 2003. Tall and svelte at 5’8”, with blonde hair and blue eyes, Divini is often mistaken for a native Californian, but she comes to us from the untamed Alaskan wilderness. “I grew up in a village called Tanana,” she says. “The only way to get there is by plane, and there are about three hundred residents year-round. My parents were survivalists, so we lived off the land – I ate meat that we hunted for, berries we picked and vegetables that grew in our summer garden.” A lover of both humans and animals, Divini is not one to sit still – after studying psychology and journalism, she packed up and took off for Sydney, Australia, where she started a modeling career. “While in Sydney, I founded a nightlife magazine, SWAY,” she says. “Before I was a Playmate, I interviewed Hef for the magazine. That issue is now a collector’s item!” These days, Divini makes her home in Oklahoma City, where her entrepreneurial spirit is focused on health and fitness. She posts her musings and workout videos on her blog at DiviniRae.com. “Growing up in Alaska, I learned to thrive without modern conveniences,” she says. “You could say that it’s a modern-day survival guide!” If survival is reserved for the fittest, then Divini Rae should get along just fine – after all, she is a Playmate. “A healthy human body is beautiful,” she insists – and we couldn’t agree with her more.
